Request for Qualifications: Professional Services

Continuing Services for Planning & Economic Analysis, Landscape Architecture/Urban Design, Engineering, and Architecture

The Orange Blossom Trail Development Board is seeking qualified firms to provide continuing professional services in four key disciplines to help implement the OBTNext Master Plan. Firms may submit statements of qualifications for one or any combination of the requested disciplines. This opportunity allows your firm to be part of the revitalization of the 8.3-mile corridor from State Road 50 to State Road 528 (Beachline Expressway).

Who We're Looking For

We’re seeking experienced professionals in the following areas:

1. Planning & Economic Analysis

Firms with expertise in urban planning, economic development strategies, and market analysis. Your skills will help us identify opportunities for growth, develop implementation strategies, and ensure the economic viability of our revitalization efforts.

2. Landscape Architecture/Urban Design

Creative professionals who can transform public spaces, enhance streetscapes, and create inviting environments along the corridor. Your vision will help establish the OBT’s unique identity and improve the overall experience for residents and visitors.

3. Engineering

Technical experts with capabilities in roadway design, infrastructure improvement, and stormwater management. Your knowledge will ensure our development projects are technically sound, sustainable, and compliant with all regulations.

4. Architecture

Innovative designers who can develop concepts for affordable housing, commercial sites, and community spaces. Your designs will help shape the future built environment of the Orange Blossom Trail.

Project Types

Selected firms will assist our staff with implementing various aspects of the OBTNext Master Plan, including:

  • Roadway and infrastructure improvements
  • Stormwater retention systems
  • Affordable housing initiatives
  • Commercial site development
  • Maker’s spaces for training and small business development
  • Public recreational spaces
  • Property acquisition and land banking
  • Placemaking initiatives

Participation Goals

The OBT Development Board has adopted Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise goals. We encourage M/WBE firms to participate as sub-consultants or in joint-venture arrangements. Such utilization will be given favorable selection consideration.

Selection Process

A committee will review qualifications and select firms based on established criteria such as past project success and reference recommendations. The Development Board may choose to contract with more than one firm to meet the needs for all disciplines.
