About the OBT CRA Business Development Grant Program
The OBT CRA Grant Program is a key initiative to revitalize and transform the Orange Blossom Trail business community. Created by the Orange Blossom Trail Development Board in partnership with the Orange County Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA), this program is part of a larger vision to drive local economic growth. The grants aim to uplift the community by fostering business sustainability and innovation, ensuring local enterprises thrive while contributing to the area’s social and economic landscape.

Application Requirements:
- Location Requirement: Must be located or planning to relocate within the OBT CRA boundaries.
- Business Plan/Executive Summary: Submit a detailed business plan or an executive summary for established businesses, outlining goals, strategies, and growth projections.
- Business Checking Account: Provide proof of a business checking account for financial operational readiness.
- Community Contribution: Review the Issues and Opportunities from the OBTNext Master Plan and describe how your product or service will address these needs to support corridor improvements and community development.
- Budget Proposal: Include a project-specific budget detailing how the grant funds will be used across essential costs such as staffing, materials, and community initiatives.
- Partnership and Engagement Plans: Describe any planned efforts to engage with the local community or collaborate with other businesses, even if you are a startup or new to such initiatives.
- Business Assistance Resources: Applicants new to business operations or grant documentation are encouraged to consult with SCORE.org for guidance on business establishment and document preparation.
Start-Up Tier Grant (0-3 Years)
Funding Amount: $1,000–$30,000
- For businesses that have been operational for 0 to 3 years and are in the early stages of development.
- Ideal for entrepreneurs or businesses focused on community impact and sustainable growth.
Stay-Up Tier Grant (3-6 Years)
Funding Amount: $30,001–$60,000
- For businesses that have been operational for 3 to 6 years, focusing on maintaining stability and scaling operations.
- Suitable for businesses committed to long-term sustainability and market expansion.
Scale-Up Tier Grant (7-10 Years Plus)
Funding Amount: $60,001–$100,000
- For well-established businesses that have been operational for 7 to 10+ years, aiming for significant growth and large-scale impact.
- Ideal for established businesses looking to expand their community presence and corporate responsibility initiatives.
